This week a friend of mine came across 40 flats of strawberries somewhere. I ended up purchasing 5 flats and we made TONS of freezer jam. It's been so long since I've made it I forgot how great it tastes on homemade bread. It's awesome that the boys are finally old enough to help out. They picked of the stems, washed, mashed, you name it. Eventually we put the boys to bed and Dave and I hammered out the rest of the jam. We ended up with 96 cups total!

Love freezer jam! I remember you giving me the recipe for it and I hope I still have it. Think the tykes and I will need to visit a strawberry patch soon!

My friend Cassidy are excited to start in on freezer jam... I think I am going to try doing peach frozen jam and see how it comes out... seeing all those strawberries in the sink make my mouth water for homemade bread with freezer jam! YUM!
