Time To Garden!

So we decided to try our luck with a garden this year.  Pat and Dan and Sean (Dave's brother) came into town and we worked all day on it.  We planted 25 tomato plants (roma, cherry, and better boys), onions, carrots, broccoli, peas, romaine lettuce, and watermelon!  Dave learned how to use a "tiller" and I learned that children get really tired of gardening after like 6 hours!  They are very excited to reap the rewards though.  We live in a very wooded area so we hope we can keep the rabbits and ground hogs away.  I'll keep you posted on the progress.  I'm excited to have canned tomatoes in the winter. We didn't have a pitch fork, but thought the shovel worked well!
