Eric had his very first piano recital tonight. Naturally, it started out a complete disaster. The overhead light above the piano flickered on and off, an oft-used key kept sticking, and the piano teacher who was playing the duet part neglected to wear her glasses while playing! So, his first recital song was a train wreck--and none of it was his fault!
Luckily, things calmed down and he got another shot at it later. Of course he nailed it this time (once everyone else got their act together! :) ). Here is a clip of his 3 songs.
He was also awarded a prize for memorizing the most songs. He memorized 15 songs in less than 5 months!
By the way, that is a real tie--not no stinking clip on. :)
We're very proud of Eric's progress in his short time of lessons, and look forward to many more less memorable recitals!

wow !! go eric! He is getting so old. what a little performer.. let him know i was so bad my piano teacher never invited me to be in the recitals. hahah. but if she had my experience would have been worse than his first i'm sure:)
