The Fire Truck Experience!

Be still my heart! This was the most adorable experience I've had in a while. Ethan won a poster contest on fire prevention and the prize was a fire truck ride to school. There was a winner from each grade. You should have seen Ethan's face when he heard the sirens outside our front door. Dave went into work a little late and stayed and watched the other kids for me so I could juggle the firetruck stuff. Thanks Dave! Luckily Grandma Carla and Grandpa John were able to come over first thing in the morning to share Ethan's big day and help with pictures. Two fire trucks picked them all up and rode "full sirens on" mode all the way to the school! The whole school was standing out front waiting for them to arrive. They were shouting and cheering and clapping. It was so awesome! Ethan also got to tour the fire station and watch police dogs in training. Very Cool. Check out the video clip too!

I see Ethan's dad has been shut out of the pictures. Bare foot in the kitchen, no doubt. :)

Great to hear, but from the tone of your email this morning was expecting more emergency room time and blood and guts or something!

Still pretty cool.
